Special technic in anesthesia for Cerebral Aneurysm

Abstract
|
|
|
In surgery of the Cerebral Aneurysm, It´s need more than endotracheal anesthesia also several special technic.
Hypothermia and/or. Controlled hypotensive technic will be necessary to minimize the hazard of massive bleeding, to decreasing the brain volvme, to decreasing the cerebral blood flow and sufficient oxygen supply to the brain cell.
Department of Anesthesiology, St. Mary´s Hospital, Catholic Medical College bad 11 cases of the
Clipping, Cerebral Aneurysm during the period of October 1970 to September 1971.
9 cases are applied Mild Hypothermia and 2 cases are Controlled Hypotensive Technic.
Mild Hypothermia was obtained ice water immersion technic and Controlled Hypotension was Arfonad
dripping. (Ganglion blocking agent)
We had 2 mortality cases in the series of hypothermia. Overall mortality was 18% but we hardly conclude the mortality was due to special technic.
We concluded at least there are no moribund factors due to special technic as hypothermia and/or hypotensive technic
